Performance Of A Piece Of Theatre Using Greek Chorus And Response On It

I really enjoyed using Greek Chorus, it was something that felt quite similar to performing a piece of physical theatre or something more stylised but at the same time it felt really different due to the distribution of dialogue, this was a new but interesting thing to try and work on.

I feel that I effectively used my voice while delivering the lines of dialogue despite its very alien distribution. I also feel that I had a good use of gesture and my movements as a whole, I feel that I accurate portrayed my character, trying my hardest to appear presentable and smart despite my obvious lower class compared to the other characters opposite

However, I do feel that I could have improved on my characterisation on moments where I am not speaking. I think there are moments where the character falls a little flat in moments where I am not speaking which I could improve on to bring up the level of the performance a great deal.

I also feel that performing in a small space requires much more focus than performing in a bigger space, you have to be much more aware of your surroundings as well as the gestures that you make. You have to make certain actions much more reserved as a result; you also have to be aware of your proxemics, being able to show your characters with others while being much closer together, causing you to rely on other techniques such as body language and facial expressions to portray relationships between characters.
